I just recently started using a VPN service to connect to a server in Portugal, but I've noticed that my internet speed has been much slower than usual. I think my ISP might be slowing down my connection when I use the VPN.

Has anyone else dealt with this problem? And if so, have you found a way to fix it that works?

I found that switching to a different Portugal VPN protocol, like OpenVPN, which may be harder for ISPs to find and slow down, could be a solution. Another idea is to try using a VPN server in Portugal that is in a different place.

Has anyone ever tried these ideas? Did they help you in any way?
